If there was ever a time to invest in bonds now would be it, as Irish banks have informed people they are going to start charging you for saving with them.

Being charged to save,ehhh???

Zurich, Irish life and Aviva have excellent savings bonds which on average return 5/6% per annum.

You would need to leave it invested for 5 years and there’s already been a large move into bonds but we expect a lot more.

People are not going to be penalised for saving with a bank or institution and are now realising there is better deals out there.
